Pregnant women or women planning to become pregnant are also contraindicated.

This has a molecular weight of 493.99. The drug is administered orally and comes in the strength of 1.5 mg, 3 mg, and 6 mg.

Important precautions should be taken in elderly patients, decreased kidney function, decreased liver function. Do not use this medicine if you are confirmed of having medical conditions like type 1 diabetes, diabetic keto-acidosis, diabetic coma or precoma, severely decreased liver function, kidney function, severe problems with the production of natural steroid hormones by the adrenal glands, pregnancy, breast feeding, hereditary blood disorders called porphyrias.
